The Olympic Journey

Realizing and accepting that I will never be an Olympian, in 2015 I set out on my own personal Olympic journey. Starting with Athens and Olympia, I set the goal to visit every Olympic site, chronologically, and run a marathon in each of these modern Olympic cities.

1900 – Paris: (Disneyland Paris Half Marathon – 2016)

1904 – St. Louis: (GO! St. Louis Marathon – 2017)

1908 – London: (London Marathon – 2018)

1912 – Stockholm: (Stockholm Marathon – 2019)

1920 – Antwerp: (Port of Antwerp Night Marathon – 2021)

1924 – Paris

1928 – Amsterdam: (TCS Amsterdam Marathon – 2022)

1932 – Los Angeles: (ASICS LA Marathon – 2023)

1936 – Berlin: (BMW Berlin Marathon – 2024)

1948 – London

1952 – Helsinki: (Helsinki City Marathon – 2025)

1956 – Melbourne
